Overview
What the Arlo Floodlight Camera is
The Arlo Floodlight Camera transforms any dark corner of your property into a brightly lit, continuously monitored zone, combining a powerful 2000-lumen LED floodlight with a sharp 2K HDR camera in a single weatherproof unit. Designed for homeowners who want both deterrence and clarity, it mounts easily on garages, driveways, and entryways, casting wide, even illumination across wide outdoor spaces while capturing color video footage even in near-total darkness thanks to its integrated spotlight and night vision capabilities. The wide-angle lens offers a 160-degree field of view, minimizing blind spots and ensuring that every approach to your home is covered without the need for multiple cameras.
What truly sets the Arlo Floodlight Camera apart is its intelligent detection system, which uses advanced motion sensing to distinguish between people, vehicles, animals, and package deliveries, sending precise alerts straight to your smartphone rather than bombarding you with false alarms. Built-in two-way audio lets you speak directly to visitors or warn off unwanted guests, while the siren can be triggered manually or automatically to startle intruders and alert neighbors. The camera integrates seamlessly with the Arlo app, giving users full control over brightness settings, motion zones, and scheduling, so the floodlight can operate on sensor-based triggers or run on a timer for added convenience.
Built tough for year-round outdoor use, the Arlo Floodlight Camera features a durable, weather-resistant housing rated to withstand rain, snow, and extreme temperatures, making it a reliable fixture regardless of climate. It supports wire-free installation powered by a rechargeable battery pack, eliminating the need for complex electrical wiring, though a wired version is also available for continuous power. With cloud storage options through Arlo Secure subscription plans, users can review, save, and share recorded clips, turning the device into a comprehensive outdoor security solution that merges illumination, surveillance, and smart alerts into one cohesive system for modern home protection.
